It’s a well known fact that the bulk of energy produced in India is consumed by the urban population. People living in rural India have to deal with frequent power cuts. Modular Power intends to provide rural India with cheap and alternate forms of energy. Wind energy brings jobs and revenue for rural communities, both in royalties to landowners and as a tax base. Wind turbines use less than 5% of the land on which they are sited. The remaining 95% can be used for other purposes, such as farming, ranching or forestry.

Our foremost commitment is towards our investors, providing them with attractive rates of returns. While the age of big, grimy power plants is not coming to its end, we see money to be made by thinking smaller and cleaner. Venture capitalists would not be investing in any of this industry unless they thought they were a good investment financially. Worldwide, venture capitalists poured $526 million into clean-energy companies in 2003, investments averaged about $6.26 million. We intend to provide our investors above average rates of returns.

Electricity generation produces more pollution than virtually any other single industry in India. Poor air quality, acid rain, nuclear waste disposal, and global warming are unwanted side effects of traditional power production that endanger the environment. Wind Energy is a new and environmentally friendly alternative that is clean, abundant, and domestic. Modular Power intends to generate all energy from clean and renewable sources.
